I wish I read the tags before reading this.

This was haunting and chilly. A superbly written piece, but what a horrific thing to write about.

  • My flash fiction Discarded, features on Morgen Bailey\’s blog. I hope you enjoy.

  • Best of luck with it.

Why add articles with stories, that seems very weird. I do hope it pans out for you.

Good on you, Eric. But I don\’t think it was the trailer it was your timing and your selling line. lol

    • I’ve been thinking what else I might suggest regarding making your trailer more visible. Three things come to mind:
      1) Put plenty of links to the trailer (always opening in another window) on the landing page (usually the HOME page) and specific book pages of your website
      2) Use a big icon for this rather than the standard text link – and try to…[Read more]

that was very crafty of you and perfect timing. I need to come up with something ingenious like that to get noticed. 460 times for your last trailer was much better than my numbers so any tips you have for me will be gratefully appreciated.

    • Results of the experiment: Full Disclosure trailer still getting views although not as many as yesterday. 2012 trailer after 1 tweet received 3 more views. So it does not look like it’s Twitter. I’m at a loss on this one.

Bad news: I’m so impressed with how well the Full Disclosure trailer is doing, I’m working on a new one for 2012.

Well it certainly does the job well. Good trailer. Unfortunately, I just can\’t read anything political. But I wish you all the best with your release.

May I cheeky, Eric and ask you where you posted up your trailer link, as you\’ve had already 35 views! Which are awesome numbers for the time it\’s been up.

    Thanks.

    • Hi Karina,

The novel’s not really a political thriller. It’s more about undisclosed secrets and the people who keep them. I’m a Brit who’s lived abroad for most of his life, visiting the States only for business, and American politics are like watching paint dry to me. It would be extremely difficult for me to write convincingly about that stuff,…[Read more]

    Thanks Eric.

I used Windows Movie Maker. It\’s a very easy program for novices like me.

    • Hi again,

I’ve only ever used Movie Maker for stuff related to martial arts (stringing together photos from seminars). Don’t know why it didn’t occur to me to use it to make book trailers. I’m spending some time this weekend working on a teaser trailer for my new novel so I’m going to give it a go and see what I can come up with. I did my…[Read more]
