Phi Kappa Phi seal
Hello! I’m a fairly new self-publishing Indie writer of many genres. My first two books are non-fiction, and I’d like to share them here with you. Both are available at amazon in paperback and in Kindle versions (and right now, the Kindle versions are priced to sell at ninety-nine cents!)
My first book is titled Teaching Vol I: Education and Academics at the Turn of the Century. It is a collection of essays I’d written for the Phi Kappa Phi journal, beginning in the year 2001. In these columns, I chronicle and comment on the many changes that public school educators faced with the implementation of education reform initiatives. Students, teachers, parents and administrators were all affected by the pendulum’s swinging, and as I wrote in one essay, those who knew enough to anticipate the swing would best survive it.
The second book, less formal in style, includes commentary, stories, and anecdotes and poetry. It is titled Teaching Vol II: Stories Reflecting the Classroom. It was composed during and following the last months of my thirty year career, and offers a bit of earned wisdom to the new generation of teachers.

Hi – I did try to post images of my book covers, but did not succeed. Any advice, Amy? I did upload them from my computer, and selected one as the featured image for the post, but see neither.

Hi Terry. It looks like the first one didn’t upload properly for some reason. The second one did, but didn’t post so I went ahead and included it for you. Thanks for sharing about your books.
